Ying Shan

Dr. Shan is the Director of the Center of Applied Research, Platform and Content Group (PCG) at Tencent, working on content creation, understanding, and recommendation for a suite of social media and content distribution products. Dr. Shan has over 18 years of experience in the areas of online advertising, computer vision, deep learning, text mining, and big data analytics. Prior to joining Tencent, he worked at Microsoft Research as a post-doc researcher, at SRI's Sarnoff Corporation as a Senior MTS, and at Microsoft AI & Research's Bing Ads as a Principal Scientist Manager. He has published over 30 papers in top conferences and journals such as ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, KDD, PAMI, and IJCV and holds 30 U.S./International patents. 


Jie Tang

Jie Tang is a Full Professor and the Vice Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. His interests include data mining, social networks, knowledge graph, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. He has been visiting scholar at Cornell University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Southampton University. He has published more than 200 journal/conference papers and holds 20 patents. His papers have been cited by more than 12,000 times. He served as PC Co-Chair of CIKM’16, WSDM’15, Associate General Chair of KDD’18, and Acting Editor-in-Chief of ACM TKDD, Editors of IEEE TKDE/TBD and ACM TIST. He leads the project for academic social network analysis and mining, which has attracted more than 10 million independent IP accesses from 220 countries/regions in the world. He was honored with the UK Royal Society-Newton Advanced Fellowship Award, CCF Young Scientist Award, NSFC for Distinguished Young Scholar, and KDD’18 Service Award.


Changhu Wang

Changhu Wang is currently a director of ByteDance AI Lab. Before joining in ByteDance, he worked as a lead researcher in Microsoft Research Asia from 2009 to 2017. He worked as a research engineer at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in National University of Singapore in 2008. Changhu has authored or co-authored over 60 papers in high-quality journals and conferences. Changhu is leading the visual computing team in ByteDance, working on computer vision, multimedia analysis, and machine learning. His team are responsible for providing core AI technologies and platforms in content moderation, understanding, recommendation, and creation in the full range of ByteDance products, including Tik Tok, Toutiao app, Vigo Video, Xigua Video, BuzzVideo, etc.


Shiqi Zhao

Shiqi Zhao is the director of the Recommendation Technology and Platform Department, Baidu. He also serves as the Secretary of Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL), council member of the China Computer Federation (CCF) and Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPS). Shiqi has been conducting research in areas of recommendation, semantic search, knowledge mining, dialogue system, with over 30 research papers and over 20 invention patents.
